Cusco & Puno & Arequipa 15 Days




Few countries come close to matching the range of scenery, history and culture which make Peru such a richly textured and stimulating destination. These two action-packed weeks focus on the famous sites of southern Peru - the Colca Canyon, the awe-inspiring ruins of Machu Picchu and the floating islands of Lake Titicaca.

Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Lima.

Arrival in Lima. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodations

Day 02: Lima / Flight / Cusco
The first day you will be greeted at Cusco International Airport and driven in private transport to your hotel. After, arrival at your hotel you will receive an introduction covering, your itinerary, the City of Cusco, suggested restaurants, and all necessary information for your Journey. The afternoon is free to rest, acclimatize, and visit museums in Cusco.

Day 03: Cusco / City / Tours
Today you will have a full day journey through both the rich history and stunning scenery in the Sacred Valley of Incas. You will be picked up from near the square around 7:30AM by a private bus. Then you will head towards the scared valley the colonial towns and Inca Ruins of Pisaq, Ollantaytambo, Chincheros. We will then head back towards Cusco and you will be dropped off at your hotel around 5:30PM. In the evening you will have free time to sample a wide restaurants and entertainment options in Cusco.

Day 04: Cusco / Transfer to KM 82 / Huayllabamba Camp (3000m) Camp
The inca trail hike starts with the transfer from your hotel, in the early morning and transfer until kilometer 82 (inca trail check point) in a private bus. We will stop for photos and inca trail control. The first part of the inca trail is considered gentle training section, for about two hours, from the trail there is seen Llactapata "inca archaeological site", also from the trail is possible to appreciate the impressive landscape, flora, fauna and Villages with native people with Inka traditions. The place for lunch is at river bank, and after the hike continues ascending lightly to a semi-tropical valley for two hours until the camp ground, (Huayllabamba 3000 m)

Day 05: Huayllabamba / Trekking Warmiwañusca Pass (4200m) / Pacaymayu Camp (3600) Camp
It starts with an early breakfast, this part fo the inca trail leads to the highest point, passing through different climatic and ecological zones as we ascend the Warmiwañusca pass at 4200 m.a.s.l. the hike will undertake ascent up to the high pass, the first section presents abundant vegetation with trees of wild origin. Because of this reason its known by many as the worlds highest cloud forest amongst the landscapes the flora and fauna starting at 3800 m.a.l.s. after this section of the inca trail, it tends to be less forests up to the high point, is typical of the andean mountains covered with Icchu or straw and mountains with perpetual snow. After arduous approximately 6 hours walk you summit it. Time to have some rest, take photos and start to walk down hill. From there we will observe the beauty of the deep valleys and at distance snow cap mounts. Second camp ground at Pacaymayo (3600 masl)

Day 06: Pacaymayu / Trekking to Wiñayhuayna Camp (2650m) Camp

The trail climbs steeply up the opposite side of the valley wall, towards the second pass. About halfway upthere is a small round roofless stone building, This Inca archaeological remains is known as Runcuracay. The building is thought to have been a astronomic site. After the trail continues climbing towards the second pass "the Abra de Runcuracay", which is at around 3900m.

Day 07: Wiñayhuayna / Trekking to Machu Picchu/ Transfer to Aguas Calientes / Train to Ollantaytambo / Transfer to Cusco
The final section of the magic inca trail, from Wiñayhuayna to Intipunku is an easy hike, following a broad level path, which winds comfortably through scrub and light woodland. Colorful butterflies flutter across the trail. After no more than an hour, the trail Comes to a narrow flight of stone steps leading upwards into a small stone structure with a grass floor a few meters square. This is Intipunku, the Gateway of the Sun, and through the rectangular doorway you can see the Machupicchu. From Intipunku, a pathway leads directly to Machu Picchu itself, before arriving to machu picchu there is needed to hike for about 1 hour by steeply down hill and before tour in machu picchu is needed to check out the inca trail and after make the tour. The tour usually takes two hours and after free. Leisure time to explore machu picchu, bus drive is provided to get aguas calientes town where the train station is.

Day 08: Cusco / Transport / Puno
Early in the morning, we will take the tourist bus to go to Puno, arriving in the afternoon.Transfer to our hotel.

Day 09: Puno / Titicaca Lake / Uros Island / Taquile Island / Puno
Today you will visit Lake Titicaca and its region. With a motorized boat you will explore "la Isla flotante Uros", "la isla Taquile", and "la isla de los Tejedores". The islands offer an impressive landscape and a great view of Bolivia. In the afternoon there will be served a local lunch and afterwards you have some time off. After returning in Puno you will be transfered to your hotel.

Day 10: Puno / Transport / Arequipa
The private bus transfer from Puno (Lake Titicaca) is organize for people don't like to expend valuable time traveling by regular public buses and missing many places stop for pictures between Puno and Arequipa, as known the white city.

Day 11: Arequipa / City Tour
At an altitude of 2,400 metres above sea level, Arequipa is Peru’s second city, with a population of around 1 million. It is known as the “White City”, for its baroque architecture made from the chalky volcanic stone sillar, a colonial legacy recognised by UNESCO, which has declared the central city a World Heritage site. The perfect volcanic cone of El Misti (5,825 metres) and its neighbour Nevado Chachani (6,075 metres) hover over the city. Today we visit the labyrinthine monastery of Santa Catalina (considered by many the finest in South America), the cathedral, La Compañia church and the bustling San Camilo market. Day 12: Arequipa / Colca Valley / Chivay
We leave early in the morning for the Colca Valley. As werise up to a plateau at an altitude of around 4,000 metres, we can observe the hardy Andean flora and fauna that thrives here, such as alpacas and wild vicuñas. We have lunch in the town of Chivay and in the afternoon head to the refreshing hot springs of La Calera to relax.

Day 13: Colca Canyon / Arequipa
Early in the morning after breakfast we drive to the Cruz Del Condor, a stunning lookout point into the depths of the Colca Canyon, from where we can watch the majestic flight of the condors that rise on the morning thermals in search of food. We contine our journey, visiting the villages and lookout points of the valley. We have lunch back in Chivay and return to Arequipa, where we spend the night

Day 14: Arequipa / Flight / Lima
Today, we will pick you up from your hotel and we will drive you to the airport of Arequipa in order to take a plane to Lima. End of our services.

Day 15: Flight / Europe
